Sharing Our Process through the Power of Posters

Several SEARCH team members recently presented a poster at AGU23 highlighting our work synthesizing knowledge of—and solutions for—Arctic environmental change. Spearheaded by SEARCH co-PI Marika Holland, our boots on the ground took the form of Brendan Kelly, Athena Copenhaver, George Kling, and Alex Shahbazi. To say that folks perusing the poster session were interested in our work is an understatement: conversations circulated for hours. Our contribution to the sea of knowledge contained in the Moscone Center’s hanger-sized poster hall sparked much discussion. Undergraduate students asked about how they can use co-production in their future careers. Prospective graduate students sought advice for which programs might best fit their community-centered interests. Colleagues at the International Arctic Research Center and the National Center for Atmospheric Research stopped by to shake hands and chat while business cards and email addresses changed hands with new faces.
